Privacy policy

We built medpro.finance to work without accounts or personal details. This policy explains the little we do collect.

What stays in your browser

If you set a profile (role, career stage, experience, income band and topics), it's saved in your browser's local storage and a first-party cookie called mpf_profile. It isn't sent to us with your identity, and you can clear it any time from the profile menu.

Calculator numbers

Calculations run in your browser. If you choose "Explain my results," the calculator's numbers (not your name, email or profile) are sent to our server and to an AI provider to write the summary. We cache summaries by a fingerprint of the numbers so the same inputs don't need to be sent again. We use a one-way hash of your IP address to limit how often summaries can be requested.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 through Google Tag Manager to understand which pages and calculators are useful. It records things like pages viewed, the calculator used and whether results were shown. We don't send calculator numbers to analytics.

Advertising

We show ads through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can manage personalized ads at Google Ad Settings. Learn more in how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Your choices

Visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland see a consent message from Google's certified consent management platform before ad and analytics cookies are used, and can change their choice any time with the "Privacy choices" link in the footer. Everyone can block or delete cookies in their browser settings. See the cookie notice for a list.

Embedded calculators

When a calculator is embedded on another site, we record the domain of that site (for example, example.org) so we know where our tools are used. Embeds don't show ads or use analytics cookies.
